Bethany logoEach year on the third Sunday of September, Bethany invites congregations to remember its mission to educate spiritual and intellectual leaders for ministry by including Bethany in multiple parts of their worship services. Below, you will find resources to help prepare for this celebration of ministry education.

While several years of resources are available for your own comparison, please use resources indicated for the current calendar year, so that your worshippers receive the most current information. Thank you for celebrating Bethany and Bethany's mission with us!

BETHANY SUNDAY October 18, 2015

This year, your congregation is invited to celebrate Bethany Sunday on or around October 18, 2015. Here are print-ready resources that you can download:

  • 2015 Prayer Calendar (a monthly guide to prayers for the mission and ministry of Bethany over the coming year)

Here are Bethany Sunday materials from previous years, should you wish to look back, compare, or see our progression. (We suggest that you only use the current year's materials, however!)

RichardIs it possible to find God on Facebook? "Tweet" spiritual truths? Turn MySpace into a sacred space?

As part of my Ministry Formation experience here at Bethany, it's my mission this academic year to learn how the Internet can be used to build, support, grow, and empower a community of believers. I'm serving on a first of its kind church plant leadership team for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indiana planting what is known as DisciplesNet Church, an emerging church of the Indiana Disciples of Christ.
