Faculty Interviews

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

As a part of the admissions process, all program applicants participate in an interview with two members of Bethany's faculty. The admissions team will work with you through e-mail to arrange interviews at a mutually convenient time by phone, Skype, or other appropriate method of conversation.

Faculty interviews provide our professors the opportunity to interact with students who are applying while allowing students the chance to get to know the faculty. Students should prepare to discuss their decision to pursue theological education, educational goals, and faith objectives as well as academic successes and areas for growth.

Larry Taylor
(MDiv Connections)

LarryOriginally, I was ordained to ministry by the Lewiston Church of the Brethren (Minn.) and later went on to earn a PhD in psychology, and am now a third year Master of Divinity (MDiv) student at Bethany. Having been a church planter for several decades, a Bible college director for a half-dozen years, and a pastoral psychotherapist for a lengthy season, I felt attracted to explore the possibility of hospital chaplaincy because of the challenges afforded me in Bethany's ministry formation classes, which were the catalyst to deeper understanding, broader theological reflection, and openness to the call of God.
