S.OH Ministerial Ethics Training via Webinar
The Southern Ohio District of the Church of the Brethren has chosen to participate in a pilot project of offering the ministerial Ethics Training--required periodically for all licensed and ordained ministers--over the internet via a webinar ("web-seminar"). All ministers may choose to participate in live training offered at the Salem COB, or participate live via the interactive webinar.
All that is needed to participate via webinar is a personal computer with a high-speed internet connection and sound (no webcam nor microphone required). This may be done individually, or in small groups (several ministers gathered around one computer). Simply follow the directions below to participate in the training that will display in your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, or others).
Expectations
While no pre-registration is required, we ask that you login 15 minutes before the live session begins, at 8:30 a.m., to make sure your webinar connection is working, to establish your attendance, and to receive the preliminary instructions that internet participants will require. It is expected that each individual wishing to be credited with participation in the district ethics training will make their presence known online at the beginning, and then will personally interact with the questions, discussions, and case studies presented, via responses to questions and the online interactive chat window provided. Additionally, please be sure to have the time set aside to participate for the entire presentation, including a possible brief online wrap-up after the live session concludes, because you will not receive credit if for some reason you are not able to be connected and interacting for the entire time.
We are grateful to the following organizations and persons, who have made this pilot project possible through their collaborative efforts:
