| General description/brief summary | Work in weekly consultation with Bethany and ESR directors of Peace Studies in the planning and administration of joint weekly Peace Forum. Assist Bethany director of Peace Studies with other peace related campus programming as needed and invited. |
| Duties/responsibilities |
Facilitate and negotiate weekly Peace Forum in coordination with Bethany and ESR directors of Peace Studies programs. This includes: facilitate the weekly program, communicate and negotiate content and dates with the roster of guest speakers, manage the paperwork relative to schedule and compensation such as check warrants for speakers honoraria, promote and advertise the Forum weekly on campus and in the broader community. Coordination of all aspects of the weekly lunch, which includes the administration of menu plan and student volunteer cooks and clean up help. Work with the Bethany Director of Peace Studies as needed and requested on other campus peace programming. Other duties as assigned. |
| Skills/qualifications | An understanding and commitment to Peace Studies. Inviting relational skills. Excellent organizational skills. Consistent attention to detail. Comfortable in overseeing food planning and preparation for groups as large as 75. Must be smart, savy and visionary in program implementation. |
| Physical demands | Will work closely with the kitchen cooks and clean up and must be comfortable in that context of manual labor. |
