Here is information that we trust you find helpful as you make transportation and lodging arrangements to join us at Bethany, whether for an informal visit, or for special events.
Transportation
Please refer to our Map and Directions page [1] for complete driving directions and nearby airports. All nearby airports listed have an array of rental car options.
Unfortunately, public transportation options directly into Richmond are limited, as we currently have neither train nor bus service close by. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us.
Parking
Due to renovations at Earlham College beginning early in 2011 and lasting into 2014, most of Bethany's designated parking area has been utilized for Earlham College temporary classrooms. As a result, while there is still more than sufficient parking available, locations are a bit less convenient as they are more at a distance from the Seminary.
Visitors for large events will find the most convenient parking to be in the large Earlham College parking lot just west of the main Earlham College entrance off National Road (one block west of the seminary at 801 National Road West--drive into the entrance, turn right at the stop sign). It is a short two-block walk back to the Seminary along National Road from there.
For the 2013 Presidential Forum, signs will be posted to assist you in finding the best parking spaces.
Richmond Lodging Options
Option from the following list are suggestions that we have compiled to assist you in your planning. To see where these are located, you may refer to the Richmond City Map found on our Map and Directions page [1].
