The Certificate of Achievement in Theological Studies (CATS) program offers the opportunity to test the waters of seminary education.
CATS involves a minimum of six 3-hour courses with at least one in each of the 4 primary disciplines including:
- Biblical Studies
- Interdisciplinary Studies
- Ministry Studies
- Theological and Historical Studies
During the course of study or upon program completion, CATS students may petition for admittance into a degree program. Credits earned as a CATS student are transferable upon admission to a degree program.
Bethany offers the CATS program in two locations: at the Richmond Campus in Indiana and at the Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Students may choose either location, but it is expected that they will complete the majority of their class work at their chosen site. CATS students at either location will receive their certificate from Bethany Theological Seminary.
